Production: Light's Up: A Dream role Broadway Musical Review
Open to grades 7-12
Rehearses for 2 weeks - June 18-June 29. Performs 3 times at the ME Theatre, June 29, 30, July1 for a ticketed audience. Rehearses Mon-F

 Musical Theater: Hamilton Wicked
Our most popular camp of the summer. Explore the music, the choreography, the stories - of your two favorite smash hit, Broadway musicals - Hamilton and Wicked. We will mesh them together in an amazing show to perform for parents and friends on Friday afternoon at 4:15pm. Pack your snacks and lunch. This camp will sell out quickly! Monday-Friday. 9am-4pm. Open to grades 4-9. $200

Acting: Minion MANIA
Every one loves our most lovable and hilarious pals from the Despicable Me film franchise! We have put together the most fun, fabulous camp featuring your favorite characters and storylines from the films. Acting, music, crafts, film, script writing and games make up this super fun week. We put on a show on Friday at 4:15 for family and friends! Pack your snacks and lunch. Monday-Friday. Open to grades K-5. $200

Our new favorite musical film comes alive in a new, specialized musical theater extravaganza for kids entering grades 1-6! Acting: Star Wars Jedi Academy
Nearly every summer over the past nine season SHINE in the Limelight has conducted a Star Wars camp. It is definitely an annual favorite! Script writing, film study, stage combat, light saber play, legos, games - the sky is the limit as we take on EVERYTHING Star Wars! Monday through Friday, 9am-4pm. Pack your snacks and lunch. Grades K-5.

Join Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the hip hip Hippo and, of course, those hilarious, plotting penguins as they bound onto your stage in the musical adventure of a lifetime.  Based on the smash DreamWorks animated motion picture, Madagascar – A Musical Adventure JR. follows all of your favorite crack-a-lackin’ friends as they escape from their home in New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on an unexpected journey to the madcap world of King Julien’s Madagascar.   

Alex the lion is the king of the urban jungle, the main attraction at New York's Central Park Zoo. He and his best friends – Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippo – have spent their whole lives in blissful captivity before an admiring public and with regular meals provided for them. Not content to leave well enough alone, Marty lets his curiosity get the better of him and makes his escape – with the help of some prodigious penguins – to explore the world.

Filled with outlandish characters, adventure galore and an upbeat score, Madagascar JR. will leave audiences with no choice but to “Move It, Move It!”'

WEEK 7 July 30-August 4
Production: Magic Tree House The Knight at Dawn Kids. One week production camp. Rehearses at Gotha Community Center. Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm. Performances on August 4-5 at the ME Theatre. Open to grades K-5. Auditions April 28 by appointment by emailing katie@shineinthelimelight.com. $250.

Magic Tree House: The Knight at Dawn KIDS is an adaptation of the second of Mary Pope Osborne's award-winning fantasy adventure books from the Magic Tree House book series, which has sold more than 100 million copies and is available in more than 100 countries around the world.  This time around, Jack and Annie’s tree house takes them to an age of knights in shining armor, where the two discover the power of hope and the true meaning of gallantry.

The two siblings, Jack and Annie, return to visit the magic tree house.  As they read a book about knights and the middle ages, Annie is intrigued by the Black Knight and the mysterious quest one must successfully complete before becoming a knight.  When she wishes to visit the castle in the book, the siblings are whisked away to medieval times.  They set off to learn more about the Black Knight and his quest, experiencing a grand medieval feast, escaping through secret tunnels and dancing with enchanted suits of armor, all in an effort to find their way back home.

SUMMER STAGE FAST FACTS

1. All Summer Stage programs run from 9am-4pm.

2. Currently we are not offering before or after care at either location.

3. Drop off is between 8:50 am and 9:00 am; Pick up is at 4:00pm.

4. Each camp group has a 15 minute break in the morning, 30 minutes for lunch, and 15 minute break in the afternoon.

5. Campers must pack their own food daily - 2 snacks, 1 lunch, 3 beverages and a water bottle.

6. Campers in production must have the correct shoes: Magic Tree House- jazz shoes; Seussical, Carousel, Madagascar- Character Shoes/ Jazz shoes for girls; Black dress shoes/ jazz shoes for boys.

7. Campers in acting camps must have closed toed shoes or jazz shoes
(Descendants, Lego Superheroes, Star Wars)

8. Campers in musical theatre camps must pack jazz shoes, ballet slippers or character shoes
(Coco, Trolls, Hamilton/Wicked, Greatest Showman)

9. Campers in acting and musical theatre camps will put on a show on Friday afternoon at 4:15. All campers are required to participate in the show. There is no ticket, and family and friends are invited.

10. Campers in production camps require an audition for casting, must attend everyday - all day, and multiple, ticketed performances are performed at professional Orlando venues.

11. All new SHINE In the Limelight registrants must pay a $25 Registration fee.

12. Each camper enrolled in musical theatre will get vocal and dance training daily.  Acting and musical theatre camps offerings include: script writing, crafts, film, acting classes, prop and set design daily.
