You’ll travel to infinity and beyond when you spend a week immersed in the magic and mayhem of two of Disney/Pixar’s most beloved films! We will bring these animated masterpieces to life through art, music, and dance, and give campers an opportunity to step into the shoes of their favorite superheroes and toys. Don’t forget to bring your cape; we’ll provide the rest! On Friday afternoon at 4:15pm perform for family and friends as we produce an original show!

Musical Theatre Intensive

In an industry this competitive, it’s integral to spend time honing your craft! A week at Shine in the Limelight will add a number of skills to your growing arsenal. Industry professionals will prepare you to ace your auditions by touching on a number of disciplines. You’ll learn:

- jazz, tap, and ballet techniques to help you learn combinations with confidence

- the basics of music theory and the best strategies for sight reading difficult harmonies

- an introduction (or refresher for our Stanislavski grads!) to the Stanislavski technique to get the most out of your monologues, scenes, and cold-readings

Finally, we’ll put together a showcase of songs from musicals of your choice! Whether you prefer Hamilton, Wicked, or Dear Evan Hansen, everybody gets a say. You’ll help us compile a musical revue that will prove to be challenging, rewarding, and fun!

You’ll experience the magic of love, family and loyalty as we go on a true Disney adventure, from Arendelle with Elsa and Ann to the shores of the South Pacific with Maui and Moana! A unique opportunity to perform songs and choreography from both of your favorite movies as we weave together a creative original script combing these two fantastic stories! On Friday afternoon at 4:15pm perform for family and friends as we produce an original show!

Winnie the Pooh Kids

(One week musical production program. Will be one ticketed performance at the PHA Gymnasium Theatre on Friday evening!)

Open to all budding performers, from the very beginner to the more seasoned actors, this one week program teaches kids how to put on a musical from audition to show time! Disney's Winnie the Pooh KIDS is a delightful show based on the beloved characters of A.A. Milne and the 2011 Disney animated feature film. Featuring favorite songs from the film, as well as new hits by the Academy Award-winning Robert and Kristen Lopez (Frozen), this honey-filled delight is as sweet as it is fun. Welcome to the Hundred Acre Wood, where Winnie the Pooh is once again in search of honey. Along the way, he meets his pals, Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit and Owl, but soon discovers that Christopher Robin has been captured by the mysterious Backson! As they prepare for a rescue operation, the animals learn about teamwork, friendship and, of course... sharing snacks. Filled with all of their favorite characters, Disney's Winnie the Pooh KIDS is a favorite for children to perform.

Harvard's beloved blonde takes the stage by glittery pink storm in this fun and upbeat adaptation of the hit film and award-winning Broadway musical. Based on the award-winning Broadway musical and the smash hit motion picture, Legally Blonde The Musical is a fabulously fun journey of self-empowerment and expanding horizons. The show's instantly recognizable songs are filled with humor, wit and sass – leaving cast members and audiences alike seeing pink!  Legally Blonde follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. When Elle's boyfriend, Warner, dumps her and heads to Harvard, claiming she's not "serious" enough, Elle takes matters into her own hands, crafting a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charming her way int

o law school. Befriending classmate, Emmett, and spunky hairdresser, Paulette, along the way, Elle finds that books and looks aren't mutually exclusive.  As Elle begins outsmarting her peers, she realizes that law may be her natural calling after all.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, a group of actors, singers, and dancers led a resistance to the First Order! The Jedi Masters of Shine in the Limelight are ready to take another group of young Padawans under their tutelage and teach them the ways of the force. Together, we’ll learn lightsaber techniques, study the many films in the Star Wars canon, and use the power of the performing arts to defeat the Sith! On Friday afternoon at 4:15pm perform for family and friends as we produce an original show!

Adapted from Disney's beloved animated film and the works of Rudyard Kipling, the “man cub” Mowgli, bounds through the jungle and learns what it means to be human. 
The jungle is jumpin' with a jazzy beat in Disney's The Jungle Book KIDS. Specially adapted from the classic Disney animated film, Disney's The Jungle Book KIDS features a host of colorful characters and your favorite songs from the movie. Banished by the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan, a human boy named Mowgli and his panther friend, Bagheera, are on the run in the deepest parts of the jungle. On their journey, the two meet a sinister snake named Kaa, a herd of elephants and a giant bear named Baloo, who teaches them the swingin' musical rhythms of the jungle. After surviving a dangerous encounter with a band of monkeys led by King Louie, Mowgli and Bagheera are forced to run for their lives. When Shere Khan returns, our heroes must rally their fellow animals into battle and restore peace throughout the jungle.

The classic tale of an aging toymaker and his beloved wooden puppet is given a touching finish in this Disney gem.  In Disney's My Son Pinocchio JR., the classic tale of toymaker, Geppetto’s, little wooden puppet is given new life. This new musical, which retells the classic Disney story from Geppetto’s perspective, features the beloved classic songs, “When You Wish upon a Star” and “I’ve Got No Strings,” alongside a host of new songs by Oscar winner and Grammy Award winner, Stephen Schwartz.  Join the Blue Fairy, Stromboli and a lively cast of characters as Geppetto journeys beyond the toyshop to discover the meaning of family. When the Blue Fairy grants Geppetto's wish to bring his beloved puppet to life, the new father quickly learns that being a parent is full of challenges. He struggles to make his son "the perfect boy," only to lose him to a gang of Roustabouts. It is only when faced with the thought of never seeing Pinocchio again that Geppetto truly learns the joys of being a father and loving his child unconditionally.

Disney's My Son Pinocchio JR. is filled with a magical mix of unique roles for all types of performers – from blue Fairies, to Roustabouts and, of course, Geppetto and Pinnochio.
